Effective NDT Inspection Without Scaffolding

Thanks to a new robotic solution – UTT – Ultrasonic Thickness Testing using the aerial platform, scaffolding is no longer necessary for NDT inspections. This ensures that the NDT specialist remains safe on the ground and outside confined spaces. The primary advantage lies in the significant time savings, allowing measurements to be conducted at heights of tens to hundreds of meters without the need for scaffolding or rope access.

What does the inspection process look like in terms of time?

  • Setting up and preparing all tools, including calibration: 5 minutes
  • Conducting UT measurements at approximately 20 points: 5 minutes
  • Reviewing the measured data with a visual overview: 5 minutes
  • Total inspection time: 15 minutes!
